Hordes of the fierce, clad by the night
Gather by the shores
The age of serenial fires
Ceased at dawn of day
Into the light, across the void
We sail to take back
This world they owe us
And when we step ashore
We shall chant…
Hymns to the northern skies
As we ride
With the spells of the ancient ones
Casting in our hearts
On the plains, where temptation lures
We’ll prevail
Victorious we shall reign
Under the sign of hell
Malicious clouds of repelling force
Descending from the event horizon
Assembling to terminate thy reign
Violent storms raging the skies
Washing away the stains of blood
Caused by thee
Hordes of the fierce, clad by night
We are ready to strike
And as dusk settles
Battle at hand;
We shall chant…
Hymns to the northern skies
As we ride
With the spells of the ancient ones
Casting in our hearts
On the plains, where temptation lures
We’ll prevail
Victorious we shall reign
Under the sign of hell

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
